On February 3rd, 2006, AV Education Society celebrated Library Day.
This was a first-of-its event that had lots of food, games, and learning stalls put up by the students. The event kicked off with a rib tickling clown theatre performance by Harlequin Entertainment, leaving both students and teachers rolling with laughter. This was followed by a ceremony to award the WordWings trophy to the House with the highest points (every time a student borrowed a book, his or her house accumulated points through the year). In fact, a few days before Library Day, students took part in the Battle of the Books. This was a book based quiz that gave students a last chance to earn extra House points. Everyone had a great time and they all unanimously voted the library the coolest place in school. |
