How does WordWings work?

Every child who enters the library is given a ‘weekly activity sheet’. This sheet has a
list of activities a child must complete during the week. Each activity takes less than
20 minutes to complete. The librarian ensures that material and stationary needed for
the activities are available. Children who complete their ‘activity sheet’ are given an

incentive. They are also offered Reading Rewards to keep them motivated and ensure
they come back for more. Children who read the most number of books in a month
and a quarter are named ‘stars’ and ‘superstars’ of that month. Their names are then
put up on the colourful WordWings board, to make them Word Famous!

WordWings is conducted in English and Kannada, and activity sheets are available
in both languages.
