Did you hear?

90% of a child’s brain development happens before the age of 6!

With this in mind, we have developed an Early Years Curriculum, that is activity-based and celebrates a child’s in-born capability to “learn by doing”.

We draw our inspiration from the work of revolutionary educators like Piaget, Froebel, Maria Montessori, Mahatma Gandhi and J. Krishnamurti, and are committed to child-centric education principles. Our program is proven to create a strong foundation at the preschool level and encourages self-learning from a young age.

Our ABCD of learning?

Activity-Based: Enabling learning through joyful and hands-on experiences

Belonging: Creating an environment where a child feels heard and respected

Curiosity: Encouraging children to ask questions as they are naturally inclined to

Differential Learning: Supporting different learning levels and paces

The whole experience is delivered through simple micro lesson plans, by breaking down a complex curriculum.

Is the child really learning?

This is one of the most difficult questions to answer when it comes to educating toddlers.
That said, our job as educators is to have these answers and apply them in our teaching.

Step 1: We begin with a simple assessment of the child, covering all the facets of learning: from linguistic development to motor skills, from pre-math concepts to socio-emotional development.

Step 2: These assessments are repeated by the teacher month-on-month.

Step 3: Every child’s progress is tracked through their entire lifecycle, against different learning indicators.

Step 4: We create an individualized learning journey for each child over the course of 3 years.

What about us parents?

We understand that parents of early learners have many questions too. It’s in the nature of every parent to ensure that their child gets the best.

In order for parents to be just as aware of children’s progress as we educators are, we have created a simple and user-friendly framework based on Stephen Covey’s trust matrix. Through this framework, parents can understand our methodology, and the capability of the team.

Thanks to the trust and support of parents, we have educated 100,000 preschool children over our first decade of operations – more than any other educational institution in its first decade!

In our experience, we have observed that Hippocampus parents:

  • Appreciate our intent to work for the development of their child
  • Feel our integrity to do what’s right for their child
  • Trust the capability of our teachers
  • See the performance of their child in a clear and simple manner

Wouldn’t this cost a fortune?

It never has, and never will. Our program is designed for scale and affordability.

Our work has always involved partnering with teachers in remote locations and cities who have limited experience and exposure. Our training methods and detailed lesson plans help novices become good teachers in 3 months. And the program is delivered at fees starting from Rs.6000/ year.
